VH: From where do you hail?
Uranus. I’ve always wanted to say that. (I have maturity issues)
I am from New York, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Ballard – in that order
VH: How did you land on Vashon?
Priced out of Ballard about 6 years ago and needed an affordable place with good public schools.
VH: Tell us all about your business – what you offer, what you do, etc.
I am an educator first and foremost – I assist people in making educated decisions around real estate – buying, selling, investing, etc. If people are looking to buy or sell on or off island someone on my team can help them get the best price in the least time (and do so with total confidence and peace of mind).
VH: What inspired you to start your business?
I’ve always loved helping people get what they want – it’s my life’s purpose actually – and being a Realtor checks a lot of important boxes for me – it’s an important transaction for people, it’s one where a solid guide makes a huge difference, and I get to own my own business (as in I get to work whichever 70 hours a week I want).
VH: What is your superpower?
I can admit when I’m wrong (except with my wife – that’s my kryptonite)
VH: When you have company visiting the island, where do you like to take them?
KVI with the dog – that’s really the best.
VH: What’s next for your business?
I am investing a considerable amount of energy promoting my book, Shortchanged by Shortcuts? 44 Surprising Ways People Rip Themselves Off When Buying or Selling Their Home. It seems to me to be such an under discussed topic it makes me a little crazy – people really do not actually put the appropriate amount of thinking into virtually any aspect of the home buying or selling process and it hurts them badly.
VH: What’s the best thing you ever bought at Granny’s? 🙂
A totally baller baseball cap with SWAG on it that I gave to my 90 year old dad for some reason.
